Scauri

Prestigious seaside resort in the province of Latina, Scauri, in the municipality of Minto, is located between the shape of Cicero and the history of the Garigliano River and stretches over the plain between the mountains and the Tyrrhenian Sea Aurunci.

The town takes its name originates from Marco Emilio Scauro, Roman consul of 115 BC, once known as the Pira and to the ancient Roman glories vacation spot of many nobles.

The beach is overlooked by Scauri is bounded by two headlands: Monte d'Oro and Monte from one side Silver the other.
The area offers a pleasant walk full of beaches that offer beach umbrellas, chairs and equipment as well as beach volleyball courts and water games for children. In the evening, the beach comes alive with live music and barbecues.

Among the numerous fairs and festivals each year come to life in the area include the Carnival Scauri, the Feast of the Kingdom, the festival of South Latium, Goodbye Scauri.

Ancient city, now you can see the megalithic walls, the remains of the residence of the Consul Scauro, the Square Tower and that of the mills that were built to defend the coast from invasion of the Turks.

In the Regional Park of Gianola were found interesting prehistoric.
