Itri is located 170 meters above sea level but the terrain is very varied and extensive: it goes from the heights of its 1000 meters to 110 meters towards Formia. The town can be reached through the Via Appia, SS7, or funds from Formia, via the Farnese, SS82, and through the Ciociaria Magliana from Sperlonga, a road that climbs the mountains overlooking the sea and from which there is a landscape remarkable.
What to see in Itri:
The sanctuary of the Madonna della Civita, located on the heights to Campodimele, one of the oldest in Italy and a destination for pilgrims from all over central Italy, often carried out on foot, by tradition.
