Anzio

In ancient Anzio took the name of Antium which embraced the two cities
Anzio and neighboring Nettuno. Anzio and 'famous for hosting and for Cicero
being the birthplace of Caligula and Nero. Holiday destination Roman patricians
you can still see today the remains of Roman villas along the coast.

Anzio is internationally known for the famous "Anzio"
namely 22 January 1944, when the Allies began to land
